A Fylde-based battalion will open its doors to potential recruits by hosting a series of open evenings

The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, based in Weeton, will welcome visitors to allow people to speak to soldiers from the unit and see the latest kit and equipment used by the British Army.

The event will be held at the Sir Matthew Fell House, Parkinson Way, Blackpool, tomorrow from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and every Tuesday after.

Brig John Ogden, director of operations for Army Recruiting Group, said: “Joining the Army Reserve is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to do something extra with their spare time and benefit from a rewarding experience outside of normal working hours.”
