Probe into '˜unfit' nursing team set to end
An internal probe into Blackpool Victoria Hospital's district nursing service is set to be completed early next month.
The investigation was triggered by Preston coroner Dr James Adeley, who branded the team ‘unfit for service’ after failing dying Cleveleys woman Dorothy Imisson, 82, in 2014.
He demanded answers after district nurses failed to tell care home staff how to prevent Mrs Imisson, a dementia patient, from developing bed sores that contributed to her death.
