FYLDE residents are being warned to be careful on Bonfire Night.
The North West Ambulance Service is urging everyone in the county to take care as November 5 approaches.

Every year the ambulance service deal with a number of calls relating to firework incidents.

In the run up to, and post November 5, the ambulance service treat a large quantity of both children and adults, who are injured by fireworks and bonfires.

Cumbria and Lancashire Area Director, Derek Cartwright said: "Accidents such as these are avoidable, and we would urge everyone to attend one of the many public displays throughout the region.
"If you are going to have a private party then please remember to exercise caution and don't allow children anywhere near fireworks or bonfires.
"Injuries dealt with last year ranged from minor burns to serious life threatening injuries as a result of exploding aerosol cans. Please take care".
