YOUNG would-be film actors from Fleetwood to Lytham have a chance to take a role in a short film being made locally.
London Film School graduate Julian Kerridge and Danielle Stickley, creator and founder of the Blackpool fringe project, are teaming up to shoot a short film "Spring Tide Boots" in Blackpool next month.
Julian, who is probably better known as Lisa
Riley's boyfriend "Sean" in the ITV series 'Fat Friends" is relishing the opportunity to get on the other side of the camera.
Journey
He said: "Acting is great but its only a small part of the process. What I love about directing is you get to oversee the entire journey, from first draft to final cut. It's very exciting to watch an idea come to life"
The film tells the story of Daryl, a 19-year-old local lad struggling to cope with a dead end job and a destructive relationship with his alcoholic mother.
The roles being cast are: Daryl – 19 (white/Caucasian), intense, quiet, rough diamond, and Juliet 16 (black, mixed-race or Asian), feisty, intelligent and funny.
Julian and Danielle are looking for two young actors to play the leading roles and will be holding auditions in the coming weeks.
Anyone interested should send a photo with either a CV, or a brief description of their acting experience to springtideboots@hotmail.com. Or for more information visit www.blackpoolfringe.org.uk
