THE future of Fleetwood pub Cofflers on Manor Road remains uncertain following its sale by brewery Enterprise Inns.
Cofflers, previously known as Gullivers and before that, The Marine, closed towards the end of last year and hasn’t re-opened since.

Notices on the pub, on the corner with Laidleys Walk, did invite interested parties to come forward and run it, but so far no one has.

There is now speculation that the building will be demolished and sold for housing.

A spokeswoman for Enterprise Inns said this week: “We sold the pub at the end of March and no longer have any involvement in running it.”

Earlier this year a former manager of the pub said business had been hit by the smoking ban and she didn’t think it would ever re-open again.

The pub occupies a prime site on Fleetwood seafront which would be considered useful for housing. Enterprise Inns have not yet divulged the identity of the current owners.
