Quilters produce patchworks for bed cover

A TEAM of quilters from Larkholme Community Centre have completed their latest project.
The ladies, who attend a patchwork class, have produces 36 patchworks for make a king-sized bed cover which measures 90 inches square.

Julie Watson, who teaches the class, said: “We really enjoyed making the patches because we knew it would raise money for such a worthy cause.

“It was hard work and took a long time.

“The Cancer Research shop in Cleveleys is running a silent auction for it.

“People can write a bid on a piece of paper and put it in the box in the shop.”

It is hoped to raise more than £100 for breast cancer month.”
