FLEETWOOD Cancer Research Committee's funds have been boosted by a charity golf day to the tune of £731.
Cleveleys-based Bill Rogerson safety Services Ltd, a consultancy firm, raised the cash via an event staged at Knott End Golf Club.

Thirty seven golfers, male and female, took part in the event with various individuals and business sponsoring holes on the course.

A spokeswoman for the Fleetwood committee said: “We would like to thank Bill Rogerson Safety Services for donating the proceeds of this event to our charity.”

The Fleetwood Cancer Research Committee raises money each year for the research department of Christie Hospital in Manchester.

Last year the group handed over an impressive £12,000.
