Friends and family hold charity events for Ryan
A NUMBER of charity fundraising events have been held in aid of a Poulton hit and run victim.
Ryan Neale is in a critical condition in a Thai hospital. The 23-year-old is being treated at the Bangkok Pattaya Hospital after being flung from a moped into a lamp post during a suspected hit and run.
It is not known if he had travel insurance and his medical costs are mounting.
Now family, friends and supporters are aiming to raise hundreds of pounds to help cover the cost of bringing Ryan home when he is well enough to fly, but the medical flight will be in excess of £30,000.
Sunday league football team FC Eden spent their afternoon in agony having their legs waxed in a sponsored event in aid of the appeal.
Meanwhile, a charity bikini car wash was held at the Number Three Pub, Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, where scantily-clad girls washed and waxed cars in aid of the fund.
Despite wearing a crash helmet, Ryan, a former FX Gym assistant manager, suffered horrific injuries and had to be resuscitated at the scene, after which he underwent surgery.
