FLEETWOOD dad Neil Hendry is preparing to take part in his second skydive to raise vital funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Neil plus a team of friends and family will be jumping on Sunday September 14 at Black Knights Airfield in Cockerham, Lancashire.
Joining Neil, of Buttermere Avenue, are his sister Julie Hampson; Fleetwood chemist Chris Roberts; ex-Fleetwood Town player Steve Macauley; friend Benjamin Blakey; colleague Hazel Miller; Marine Hall manager Grant Sellers; physiotherapist Andrea Carter and friends Joanne Murray and Louise Tosh.
They are all taking part because Neil's two-year-old daughter Isabella has Cystic Fibrosis (CF), the UK's most common, life-threatening inherited disease.
Neil and his partner Emma also have an older daughter, Maya, aged eight.
Neil, a 36-year-old chemical process worker at the Springfields site near Preston, took part in his first sponsored skydive last year.
He said "I'm really excited to be doing a skydive again and it's fantastic that so many people are doing it with me this year. Last year my team of five raised over £5,000 but I hope to raise even more this time."
There are still places available for the tandem skydive. Participants are securely attached to an experienced instructor who takes charge of opening the parachute and the landing leaving you to experience the total thrill of freefall.
The skydive takes place from around 12,000 feet. No experience is necessary and all you need to do is pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £425 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust to take part for free.
Anyone who would like to sponsor Neil and his team can visit the website http://www.justgiving.com/neilhendry or if they would like to take part themselves contact Bev Burnham-Jones, Regional Fundraising Manager for the North West on 0845 859 1029 or e-mail bburnham-jones@cftrust.org.uk.
