THE future of the Fleetwood Pier site could decided at a crunch meeting on Friday.

The pier's owner Mike Simmons is meeting Wyre Council chiefs to thrash out the options.
The businessman, who heads the consortium Simmo Developments, is bringing along his business partner, his architect and a solicitor.
The pier's removal effectively means that at present Mr Simmons is leasing an empty stretch of the beach where the pier used to stand.
Mr Simmons has not yet intimated publicly what he intends to do with the site.
Gary Paine, head of planning at Wyre Council, will be at the meeting this Friday.
said: "I can confirm there is a meeting but I am not in a position to say any more at this stage."
But he stated: "We will ensure that if Mr Simmons is planning to build on the site that before any planning application is made there shall be full consultation with the public."
Mr Simmons, also known as comedian Joey Blower, was planning to build 85 apartments on the pier, a move which caused great controversy in Fleetwood.
But before he had submitted any plans to Wyre Council, the pier burnt down on Tuesday September 9.
Mr Simmons had not insured the building, which stood on land he was leasing from Wyre Council for £5,000 a year.
The remains of the pier have since had to be completely demolished and removed for safety reasons, with Mr Simmons paying for that work.
It was subsequently revealed that the pier structure was badly corroding as a result of exposure to the elements.
