THE heroes of Fleetwood Town will be given a civic reception by the Mayor of Wyre next week.
Outgoing mayor Councillor Keith Riley will host players and officials at the club as one his last official duties before he steps down on Friday May 16.
The reception will be held at Wyre Civic Centre, Poulton, on Wednesday May 14 at 7.30pm to mark the club's promotion to the Blue Square North League.
The club won promotion in style, finishing as champions of the Unibond Premier League.
Coun Riley said: "The club has done ever so well and I am delighted their promotion has come in my mayoral year.
"We will be delighted and proud to host representatives of the club after their wonderful promotion success."
