Chloe’s walk operaton date set

A YOUNG girl’s dream of being able to walk has moved a massive step closer to coming true – with a date now set for her life-changing operation.
The campaign to help Fleetwood youngster Chloe New be able to walk has now reached an astonishing £35,000 in just three months.
It means her parents, Angela and Terry, have been able to set a date for Chloe’s operation in Missouri, America.
Ten-year-old Chloe, of Agnew Road, has cerebral palsy and needs an operation on her spine which will help reduce stiffness in her legs and – fingers crossed – to help her walk unaided.
At the moment the bright 10-year-old needs a wheelchair and a special walking frame to help her get around.
This week Angela confirmed they have set the date for May 31.
The family has had to raise the cash because the operation will not be funded by the NHS.
Although their total target is £45,000, the couple are confident they will be able to raise the final £10,000 for their Chloe’s Wish 2 Walk appeal in the next three months.
They have been overwhelmed with the incredible support they have been given by people in Fleetwood and across the Fylde coast - many of them complete strangers.
Angela told the Weekly News: “We would just like to thank everyone who has helped us.
“It has been incredible.”
