Fylde flanker in three-game ban
Fylde RFC wing forward Ben Vernon has been banned for three matches by a Rugby Union disciplinary panel.
This followed his sending-off for an outlawed tip-tackle in Saturfday’s win over Blaydon at the Woodlands.
He was represented by first team director John Greenwood, a solicitor, at the hearing.

A club statement said: “Fylde RFC and Ben are very grateful for a message of support from Blaydon RUFC submitted to the panel.
“His exemplary disciplinary record to date was another factor taken into account.”
