Fire crews tackle house fire in Thornton

An electric shower combusted at a home in Thornton yesterday evening (July 3).

Two fire engines from Bispham and Fleetwood were called out to tackle the fire at a home in Branksome Avenue at 6.33pm.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported.
